Did you see us at the Windhoek show? Yes we were there, in the main hall. The Windhoek show gave us an opportunity to once again create awareness and to recruit new members.

Visitors who came to our stand all had different questions, some wanted to know what Team Namibia is about, others wanted to share their experiences with us, and some needed to tell us to be more visible i.e. promote more, and they agree that Team Namibia is an important initiative, that everyone should buy into. We now have an idea of what a small number of Windhoek residents think about Team Namibia.

A number of business owners visited our stand to exchange contact details and collect application forms in order to join the campaign. We were surprised to find out, how much people actually know about Team Namibia already! This is a positive sign for us and our members!

The activities at the show were complemented by the “Identify the Team Players” competition were entrants need to identify one Team Namibia member and stand a chance to win 3 trolleys packed with Naturally Namibian products, courtesy of our members. Thanks to all the members who have contributed towards the trolleys.

The competition is still running and will close on 31 October 2005. Information on the competition can be found on the Team Namibia website www.teamnamibia.com, in the following daily newspapers, Die Republikein, Allgemeine Zeitung, and New Era (Member) and also on the following radio stations, Radio Energy (100 FM), Radio Kosmos (94.1 FM), NBC National Radio (92.6 FM), NBC Oshiwambo Station as well as the NBC German station.

The lucky draw will take place on 5 November 2005. The response has been surprising thus far, we received a lot of entries, via our stand at the Windhoek Show, via SMS’s , entry forms at all Pick and Pay Family supermarkets and online entries via the Team website.

At this juncture, we need to thank Die Republikein, Allgemeine Zeitung and Kosmos Radio who are not fully fledged members yet but have committed to promote the competition to assist in creating awareness. We also thank you, our members, for your support to make this competition a success.

Members are urged to continue using the logo when advertising, and on all your promotional material. Those members not using the logo yet, you better start doing so, by using the logo you are making use of the benefits available to you, making it known that you are a member and lastly you are assisting in spreading the Team message to all.
