Many of us are even more confused to hear that vegetables grow in an arid country such as Namibia. Fruit and Veg City is not Namibian however, it on average stocks 40% Namibian veggies and fruit annually. In December the average increases to at least 60%. In lieu of the above, the Naturally Namibian Fresh
Produce was launched at Fruit and Veg City to show Namibians what they
should be proud of. This initiative was launched by the then Prime Minister,
RH Theo-Ben Gurirab on behalf of His Excellency the Founding President
of the Republic of Namibia, Dr. Sam Nujoma. |
