Team Namibia is a Section 21 company, which was incepted in 2003 by a group of like-minded people, and spearheaded by the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI). Although like-minded, the sectors represented, include sectors of the Namibian economy, thereby bringing the necessary diversity into the equation.

The very core of the Team Namibia concept is the synergistic promotion of Namibian products, services and destinations nationally and at a later stage regionally and internationally.

On 31st March 2004, Team Namibia launched the “Naturally Namibian” campaign. The campaign was launched by the Founding President of the Republic of Namibia, Dr Sam Nujoma. The aim of the campaign is to promote those Namibian companies, products, services and destinations which are substantially helping to build the economy and are socially responsible. The logo gives the consumer who wants to support the campaign, a way to identify these companies and their offerings.

Team Namibia will market Namibian products, services and destinations locally and internationally as a united entity under one generic national trademark, i.e. “Naturally Namibian”.

The aim of the Naturally Namibian campaign is to stimulate sustainable economic growth, thereby minimizing unemployment, alleviating poverty, which in turn will lead to improved social and economic conditions.
