Stefan Ludik Namibia’s Big Brother Africa
contestant and now Egoli star has joined the ranks of His Excellency,
President Pohamba, as a member of the elite Team Namibia Ambassador’s
Club.
Team Namibia representative, Margareth Gustavo, met with Stefan
on July 22, 2006, where she briefed him on Team Namibia, the Ambassador’s
Club and the importance of getting him, along with other Namibians,
to be passionate about the country. Upon requesting him to join
the Club and assist Team Namibia in building credibility for its
member products, services and destinations, he immediately agreed.
He says that Team Namibia should be pleased to know that he already
pursues all elements required of the said membership to the Ambassador’s
Club as he is simply driven by the pride he has for the country.
His commitment to Namibia is proven by the efforts Stefan and his
mother Susan Ludik made when they created numerous opportunities
to promote Namibia. For example, Egoli for the first time came to
Namibia and recorded particular episodes in Windhoek and at the
coast, and not only did they use Namibia for shooting, the cast
also included two local actors.
His correspondence to Team Namibia upon replying to an official
request to join Team Namibia’s Ambassador’s Club, Stefan
said he looks forward to “being of assistance to a project
close to his heart” - that of promoting Namibia and its people.
Team Namibia is proud to have Stefan on board and look forward
to his support and that of being an absolute ambassador for the
“Be Namibian – Buy Namibian” message.
The Team Namibia “Goodwill Ambassador’s” Club
was launched on July 19, 2006, by Nianell in an effort to create
pride and build credibility for Team Namibia member products, services
and destination. The club membership is exclusively for individuals
of good social standing and stature, and whose stature can equip
the organisation in developing pride in all things that are Namibian.
Team Namibia requires ambassadors to act in good faith, as promoters
of the Team Namibia “Be Namibian – Buy Namibian”
message and “live” the Team Namibia brands. By living
the Team Namibia brand, Team Namibia ambassadors pledge to support
Team Namibia and buy Namibian at all possible opportunities and
to insist on Namibian products – in Namibia, whenever dining
out (if a Namibian product/service is available).
The Ambassador’s Club thus far bears the unquestionable support
of His Excellency, President Hifikepunye Pohamba, Honourable Minister
of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Dr Abraham Iyambo, Nianell, Michelle
Heitha-Pokolo and Eliakim Shiimi.
